At least 10 people have been reported dead after two express trains collided in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The crash occurred early on the morning of January 21st when the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus bound Karnataka Express collided with the Hampi Express train in a place called Penanguru. The trains were travelling in opposite directions when they collided between Penanguru and Guntur stations.
At the time of press, the death toll stands at 10 with at least 17 people reported injured with varying degrees of injury. Reports revealed that the majority of the deaths occurred inside the Hampi Express train as survivors from that train were able to escape without serious injury.
