A big milestone was recently accomplished by the crew at the Ti Tree Copper Project in Australia: the completion of the maiden drilling program. The program was put in place to investigate the potential of the copper mineralization in the area.
The drill program, which began in late 2020, was designed to investigate the depth and character of the mineralized zones. The drilling targeted depth of up 30 meters and included 65 drill holes on the western flank of Ti Tree.
The outcome of the program showed strong indications of copper sulfide mineralization down to depths of 40m, with total widths of the utilization varying from 0.5m to 2.0m. It has been estimated that the metal content in the copper-bearing mineralization lies between 0.5 and 1.5% copper.
The excavation confirmed that the Ti Tree Copper Project is host to a series of large-scale mineralization bodies. Thanks to the maiden drilling program, the team was able to ascertain the size, geometry and mineralization dynamics of the deposit as well as the precise locations for further exploration.
This is great news for the peoples of the Ti Tree area, as it means there could soon be more jobs and income available for people living in the area when production starts.
